Partnership & SPONSORSHIP

Local Businesses: Sponsorships & Collaborations

  • Sponsorship of Events or Programs: Got an event coming up? Why not sponsor one of ours? Whether it’s a job fair, a wellness clinic, or a mentorship program, your business can show it stands behind men who are getting their lives back on track. In return, we’ll make sure your brand gets the attention it deserves, making you look like a hero in the community.

  • Employee Volunteering Programs: Looking for a way to make your employees feel connected to a bigger cause? Partner with us and let your team spend some of their work hours volunteering at MRC events. It’s a win-win. You build team spirit, they get a sense of purpose, and we get the help we need to change lives.

  • Business Development Support: You need employees. We’ve got men ready to work. Let’s partner up and create job placements or internships for MRC participants. You’ll get reliable workers who’ve already gone through skills training, and they’ll gain the work experience they need to stay employed long-term.

Nonprofit Organizations: Cross-Promotions and Resource Sharing

  • Shared Resources: There’s no need to work in isolation. By pooling resources with other local nonprofits, we can stretch our budgets and serve more people. You provide the food, we provide the shelter, and together, we create a robust system that benefits everyone.

  • Joint Fundraising Initiatives: Let’s double down on fundraising. Co-hosting events like community picnics, sports tournaments, or charity auctions will help both of us reach more people, get more donations, and amplify our impact.

  • Referral Systems: We all know people who could use help. Let’s establish a referral system where we send people your way for your services and you send them to us for ours. This way, we make sure no one falls through the cracks and everyone gets the support they need.

Educational Institutions: Skill Building and Career Development

  • Training and Certification Programs: Imagine this: You partner with us, and local community colleges or trade schools offer training programs for men who are ready to learn and earn. From plumbing to carpentry, these men will graduate with valuable skills and certifications—and you’ll be their go-to partner when they need real-world training.

  • Mentorship Opportunities: Have you got experienced professionals looking to mentor the next generation? MRC can connect them with men in need of guidance, so they can learn the ropes and expand their career opportunities. It’s a chance for your employees to pay it forward while also fostering long-term relationships with local communities.

Government Agencies and Public Sector: Funding and Advocacy

  • Collaborative Grant Proposals: Grants are available—and we know how to get them. Together, we can apply for funding that helps provide housing, employment support, and mental health services to underserved men in our community. If you’re in government or know your way around grant applications, this is an easy way to make sure the funding gets put to good use.

  • Public Policy Advocacy: Want to help push for changes in policy that benefit underserved men? Teaming up with us gives you the chance to advocate for affordable housing, criminal justice reform, and mental health services. Together, we can create meaningful change on a legislative level.

Cooperative (Co-Op) Ventures: Collaborative Initiatives

  • Community Resource Co-Op: Let’s pool our resources and create a co-op. It’s simple: businesses, nonprofits, and individuals can donate goods, services, or funding to MRC. In exchange, co-op members get perks—tax benefits, brand recognition, and an association with a local powerhouse. We make the impact; you get the credit.

  • Shared Space for Services: Instead of each of us trying to do everything alone, let’s combine forces. By sharing space, MRC and other service organizations can provide a broad range of services in one place. Your organization can be a part of this one-stop-shop for job training, healthcare, housing support, and more.

Corporate Partnerships: Resource and Skill Donations

  • Equipment and Tool Donations: Are you a local hardware store or construction company? Your tools and materials can go directly to the men in MRC programs, helping them develop practical skills and get the job done. In return, your business gets the satisfaction of knowing you helped someone take control of their future.

  • Technology Donations or Partnerships: Tech companies—this one’s for you. Donate laptops, software, or even smartphones to help MRC clients stay connected, apply for jobs, and build their careers. You’ll not only be helping a community in need but also demonstrating your commitment to social impact.

Community and Religious Organizations: Support Systems

  • Faith-Based Partnerships: Are you part of a church, mosque, synagogue, or another faith-based organization? Let’s work together to provide emotional, spiritual, and physical support to the men in MRC’s programs. Whether it's transportation to appointments or temporary housing, we can collaborate to meet their needs.

  • Community Resource Sharing: Religious organizations often have networks of volunteers and resources—together, we can offer a strong support system. Think food, clothing, transportation, and much more. By working together, we strengthen our collective impact.

Health and Wellness Providers: Physical and Mental Health Services

  • Healthcare Partnerships: Local clinics, hospitals, or mental health centers, we need you. Partner with MRC to provide discounted or pro bono healthcare services for men in need—whether it’s a check-up, mental health support, or addiction treatment. This partnership could make a world of difference for men struggling to regain their health.

  • Health Clinics and Services: Healthcare doesn’t just stop at doctors’ offices. A gym or wellness center could help our clients improve their physical fitness and relieve stress. You provide the space, and we’ll send the clients ready to make a change.

Retail & Service Industry: Donation Drives and Discounts

  • In-Kind Donations: Retailers, we need your help. Donate clothing, hygiene products, and other essentials for the men in our programs. These items can help them rebuild their lives, and you get the credit for being part of the solution.

  • Discount Partnerships: Whether you’re a grocery store, auto repair shop, or restaurant, consider offering discounts to MRC clients. They’re working hard to turn their lives around, and your support can make it a lot easier.

Media Partnerships: Awareness and Education

  • Local Media Partnerships: Help us get the word out. Partner with MRC to highlight the real stories of men overcoming hardship, advocate for important causes, and promote local events. In return, your brand gets major exposure, and you get to stand out as a champion of your community.

  • Social Media Influencers: Want to help spread the word? Work with influencers or local bloggers to promote MRC’s programs and events. Their reach can bring in donations, volunteers, and much-needed awareness.

What is the Service Provider List?

The Service Provider List is an internal resource used by The Men's Resource Center to refer men to trusted professionals and organizations in Stanislaus County. It includes service providers such as therapists, legal experts, personal trainers, rehab facilities, and other essential services. This list ensures that we connect the men we serve with the right support based on their individual needs.

Why We Use It:

  • Internal Use: The list is used by our staff to make referrals to qualified service providers who can assist our clients.

  • Client Support: It ensures we are referring men to trusted, reliable professionals who can address their specific needs.

How It Helps:

  • Streamlines Referrals: Simplifies the process of connecting clients with the services they need.

  • Ensures Quality: Provides vetted and reliable service providers to support men’s health and wellness.

  • Fosters Partnerships: Helps establish collaborative relationships with service providers who share our commitment to supporting men.

Establishing a "Warm Hand-Off Process":

Service providers listed must work with us to establish a "warm hand-off process." This process ensures that men referred to these services are personally introduced to providers, making the transition smoother and ensuring clients feel supported every step of the way.

Requirements for Inclusion:

We include service providers who meet the following criteria:

  • Offer free or low-cost services tailored to men in need.

  • Serve Stanislaus County residents, either in-person or remotely.

  • Provide services relevant to the needs of the men we serve (e.g., therapy, legal help, fitness, rehab).

  • Agree to work with us on the "warm hand-off process" to ensure a seamless referral experience.

How to Get Included:

To request inclusion on the Service Provider List, service providers must fill out an inclusion request and agree to the "warm hand-off process." This helps ensure that every client referred is supported in a way that fosters trust and long-term success.
