At the Men's Resource Center, we believe that financial challenges shouldn’t stand in the way of personal growth, education, or transformation. To support our mission, we offer flexible financial support options and a unique Work-to-Learn Program, where your time and effort can directly fund your journey to a better future.

What We Offer

Our financial support options and programs are designed to make our services accessible to everyone motivated to grow and succeed. Here’s what’s available:

  • Coaching Sessions: One-on-one guidance designed to help you transform your life.

  • Mentorship Programs: Gain insights and support from experienced individuals who’ve been in your shoes.

  • Skill-Building Courses: Learn practical tools and strategies to improve your work and personal life.

  • Educational Classes: Empower yourself with knowledge to achieve your goals.

How It Works

We provide need-based support to eligible participants through several options:

  • Sponsorships: Partnering with local businesses, organizations, and donors to help fund your participation.

  • Sliding-Scale Discounts: Flexible payment options based on your income.

  • Program-Specific Scholarships: Tailored financial solutions for our programs.

  • Earn 2 Learn Program: For every hour you volunteer at Mr. Center, you earn $15 in credit toward coaching, mentoring, courses, or classes.

While we don’t provide direct cash assistance, these opportunities ensure financial barriers don’t stop you from reaching your goals.

Who Can Apply?

If you’re ready to take action but need help covering the costs, we encourage you to apply. Our process is straightforward, respectful, and designed to assist those who need it most. Whether you’re seeking sponsorships, fee adjustments, or work-to-learn credits, we’re here to help.

A Commitment to Growth

To keep our financial support impactful and sustainable, we ask participants to:

  1. Demonstrate Financial Need: Complete a brief application.

  2. Engage with the Community: Reach out to local businesses or organizations for potential sponsorships. Don’t worry—we’ll guide you through this process step by step.

  3. Participate in the Work-to-Learn Program: Contribute your time and skills to the center while earning credits toward our programs.

Helping Those Who Help Themselves

Self-sustaining support is about creating opportunities for people who are ready to take action and invest in their own growth. At its core, it’s a partnership—offering tools, resources, and pathways for those who are willing to put in the work to improve their lives. This approach aligns with the belief that meaningful change happens when individuals are actively involved in their transformation.

By helping those who want to help themselves, we’re fostering a sense of ownership, responsibility, and empowerment. Instead of simply giving a handout, we’re offering a hand up—encouraging participants to take charge of their journey while providing the support and structure they need to succeed.

Programs like Earn 2 Learn, where participants contribute their time and effort to gain access to resources, demonstrate this principle in action. It’s not about just receiving; it’s about earning, growing, and becoming an active part of the process.

This self-sustaining model also creates a ripple effect. When someone invests in themselves, they’re more likely to pay it forward, inspiring others to do the same. It’s about building a community where effort is valued, progress is celebrated, and support is mutual.

Ultimately, self-sustaining support is a way to break down barriers while fostering independence, confidence, and long-term success. It’s about empowering people to rise above challenges and take ownership of their future—with our help every step of the way
